"Unions united will never be defeated"
Då Systembolagets alla CSR-ansvariga gått på semester, hoppade DFSA in och tog reda på svaren på några av Sikhula Sonkes frågor ställda till Systembolaget. Sikhula Sonke behöver dock fortfarande och så snart som möjligt få svar av CSR-gruppen på vilka producenter och vinfarmer som tillverkar vinerna som säljs på Systembolaget. (För oss som arbetar på Systembolaget blir situationen något genant, när ett stort statligt monopol inte kan komma med enkla uppgifter, med hänvisning till semestertider. Det handlar om uppgifter som kan underlätta ett extremt viktigt arbete, som Systembolaget dessutom officiellt säger sig prioritera.)
DFSA sammanställde en lista på namnen på själva vinerna, vilket var till stor hjälp eftersom Sikhula Sonke i vissa fall då kan koppla till farmer och märken. Så här skriver Patricia Dyata till DFSA:
Dear comrades,
Thanks for the list. It is of great help, because it contains some
of the farms that we work on. Our week of action went well and no,
President Zuma was not available, but the director of presidency
was the one we handed over the memorandum to. The great
thing was that the South- African Human Rights Commissioner
was there and she was very inspired by our action and she
urged the government to listen to our cry for help, and we are
also going to start a dialogue between all the different parties
that have a responsibility towards farm workers and farm dwellers.
The South-African Human Rights Commissioner is going to
facilitate the dialogue. Delheim have not come back to us yet ,
but we are still negotiating and hope something positive will
come out of it. Last but not least, thanks again comrades.We are very greatful and thankful for your support. We could
not have done it without you.
